Red light therapy is a safe, non-invasive treatment that delivers therapeutic red and near-infrared light to your dog’s skin, muscles, and joints. Buddie uses pet-safe LEDs to target cells, helping reduce inflammation, support healing, and improve overall mobility — all while your dog relaxes on the bed.
Simply plug in the Buddie bed, select your session time (10–20 minutes), and let your dog relax on the surface. Most dogs enjoy daily sessions, but we recommend starting slow — 3 to 4 times per week — and gradually increasing as your dog gets used to the therapy. Always monitor for comfort, especially with older or sensitive pets.
No — protective eyewear is not required for your dog. Buddie uses safe, low-level red and near-infrared light designed specifically for pets. However, we recommend avoiding direct eye exposure and allowing your dog to rest naturally on the bed without facing the lights. If your dog has known eye sensitivities or conditions, consult your veterinarian before use.
Red light (660nm) is visible and works best on the surface of your dog’s skin — helping with things like skin health, wound healing, and inflammation. Near-infrared light (850nm) is invisible to the eye and penetrates deeper into muscles and joints, promoting recovery, mobility, and overall wellness. Buddie uses both for complete, pet-safe therapy.
